From String Dynamics to Event Generation with Quantum Simulation

Organizers: Christian Bauer (LBNL), Anthony Ciavarella (LBNL), Jad Halimeh (LMU, Germany), Yannick Meurice (University of Iowa), Stephen Mrenna (FNAL)

State‑of‑the‑art quantum platforms have started to enable simulations for nuclear and particle physics but with limitations in evolution time, system size, dimensionality, and choice of gauge group. This workshop brings together experts in nuclear physics, high-energy physics, and quantum information to build synergies between these communities. A focus will be on how to go beyond current limitations to simulate scattering and string breaking processes, and how to integrate quantum simulations of hadronization into commonly used event generators. This will forge a concrete path from quantum simulation to next-generation collider phenomenology.
