Pulses, Qudits and Quantum Simulations
Organizers: Yujin Cho (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Ravi Naik (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Alessandro Roggero (University of Trento) and Kyle Wendt (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory).
Robust direct analog control of quantum devices and devices with stable 3 (qutrit) and higher states open the possibility to a wide range of pathways to implement and stabilize quantum simulations of many-body physics. However, as these methods are platform-dependent, bringing together domain experts from quantum simulations, quantum control, and platform developers is crucial to realize these great possibilities and fully use the current and following generations of NISQ devices.
Workshop Participants: Alessandro Roggero (University of Trento), Alicia Magann (Sandia National Laboratories), Doga Murat Kurkcuoglu (Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory), Dominic Messina (Sandia National Laboratories), Eduardo Antonio Coello Perez (Oak Ridge National Laboratory), Emanuele Tirrito (University of Trento), Francesco Tacchino (IBM Zurich), Francesco Turro (IQuS-UW), Hank Lamm (Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory), Jack Araz (Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility), Kater Murch (Washington University, St Louis), Kyle Wendt (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Luca Spagnoli (University of Trento), Machiel Blok (University of Rochester), Marc Illa (IQuS, University of Washington), Marcello Dalmonte (ICTP, Trieste),Martin Savage (IQuS, University of Washington), Mengyao Huang (Iowa State University), Michael Nesrallah (University of British Columbia), Muhammad Asaduzzaman (University of Iowa), Mustafa Bakr (University of Oxford), Natalie Klco (Duke University), Niklas Mueller (IQuS, University of Washington), Noah Goss (University of California, Berkeley), Pooja Siwach (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Ramya Bhaskar (IQuS, University of Washington), Ravi Naik (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Stefanie Guenther (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Vikas Buchemmavari (University of New Mexico), Yaniv Rosen (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), Yujin Cho (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory).
